Hsinchu, Taiwan – Immense Oak Technologies, Inc. (IOT) releases the new extension board for the Ubique Panel product line.

The purposes for this new extension board design are: first, consolidate the original extension board designs to a single design; second, add I/O expander functionality. The new design includes four communication interfaces: Ethernet, Wi-Fi, CAN Bus and RS-485. Even though all these four interfaces cannot be turned on for applications, the inclusion gives customers a starting point for customization. The customizations for reducing the communication interfaces can be easily accomplished.

The new design adds an 8-bit MCU. This addition can offer up to 32 GPIO pins. These GPIO pins can be programmed with Python in our ADE. Adding more GPIO pins is a response to the customers’ requirements for the I/O expander function.
